Liam Hale, a soldier in the Survey Corps, was walking down the street minding his business as he normally would. He had just stopped at a local store to buy himself a bag of chips for his daily stroll as usual.. He didn't have his 3DMG because it wasn't needed. Liam also didn't feel like lugging it around during his simple stroll. However, upon taking a few steps further down the road, he caught the sight of a large crowd and the sound of a loud shout emanating near the edge. This was part of the reason why Liam liked to keep to himself atop Wall Rose. He didn't have to listen to the pointless bickering of mere commoners.
"Everyone is so loud today, sheesh...I am a little curious as to what's going on though. It's nothing more entertaining than a bunch of people fighting amongst each other."

Ymir Kanji had been walking down the street the usual shouts of Civilians here in there, the Trost district had been claimed for months now and people were just now starting to riot. Ymir shook her had silently, she bumped into a fellow solider before glaring slightly, she didn't say a word but pointed with her sword towards the crowd she mouthed the word Go. She then took the chip bag and crumbled it, she looked at the crowed and shakes her head silently.

Liam looked at Ymir with a face of slight irritation as he was bumped. Before he could even turn his head back into the view of the large crowd, Ymir had snatched his bag of chips and crumbled them. Liam's jaw dropped as the chips fell out of the bag upon being crumbled. That was a complete waste of money, not to mention that soldiers didn't really get paid a lot for their services. He had heard Ymir mutter the word "Go."
"Go? Go where? Surely you don't want me to walk over into that crowd. And why the hell would I go anywhere after you just destroyed a perfectly good bag of chips? I needed those today!"
Liam was pretty upset about his bag of chips, he was actually talking more than he normally would. He glared at Ymir and took one step forward, he wasn't walking into the crowd unless someone made him.

Ymir would stare blankly at the man before she lifted her sword, pressing it against his head she pushed forward slightly, blood would then start to run down the blades, Ymir would smirk before pulling it out. Blood would then gush from the wound, Ymir would look through her satchel before pulling out a bandage, she would hold it out then point with her left hand back towards the crowd, Ymir was clear on what she wanted. She wanted him to go see what the Crowd was doing and why they were so loud.

Liam didn't feel any pain when Ymir pressed her blade against his head, but didn't start feeling odd until he saw something drip past his eye. When she moved back, he looked down and saw blood. Liam immediately began growling at Ymir until he saw her pull out a bandage from her satchel. Reluctantly, Liam snatched the bandage from her and placed it on his wound. Growling once again, he walked off to see what the crowd was arguing about. As he got closer, he could clearly hear what the crowd was arguing about.
"We're not safe from titans or humans!"
"Our resources are running out! We can't support all these people!"
"The King needs to do something about this and fast or else there's gonna be a riot."
"I don't care what he does as long as he gets rid of all these Wall Maria dogs."
Liam shook his head and walked back to Ymir
"Well apparently they're all arguing about the refugees from Shiganshina. They're afraid that the resources are going to run out and that it will start riots all over Trost and within other areas of Wall Rose."
Still angry about the stunt Ymir had pulled, he let out a slight grunt to let her know that he was unhappy.

Ymir would smile and pat Liam on the head before walking towards the crowd, she dropped her blades and kicked a man in the shin before grabbing him by the throat, "HEY!!!!!!" she shouted out to the crowd before lifting her thumb to her mouth, "I understand we have a shortage of supplies and we need to do something! but quit acting like idiots! You either quit now or talk to the titan about it!" she yelled once more, she lifted her thumb into her mouth and glared at them daring them to say something.

Liam winced in displeasure as Ymir patted him on the head, she did it as if he was her pet. He glared at her as she walked over to the crowd, he assumed that she was going to calm them down. Of course, Ymir did the exact opposite. As soon as she approached the crowd she started yelling. She even threw in a titan threat as a plus, but those threats always managed to get people quiet. Immediately after she stopped talking, the crowd went deathly quiet, all that could be heard was the wind blowing. At least the streets weren't so noisy now.
"Great, they're all quiet now....can I please get a bag of chips now? I'm gonna die over here....."
Liam's stomach was growling loudly and the only thing that he would've had to eat all day would have been those bag of chips. Unfortunately, those were all crumbled up and all over the ground. He hoped Ymir would be nice enough to repay him after leaving a scratch on his head.

Ymir would sigh and let the man go before walking over to Liam and dropping forty gold coins in his hand, she cracked her neck before looking towards the wall, The titan in her shouted at her to go to the forest but she couldn't she was on wall arrest unless the scouting legion went out to the forest she wasn't allowed to leave, Her titan was fast but one shot from a cannon could kill the titan and her, she rubbed her shoulders and sighed slightly.

Liam grinned as he got the 40 gold coins, it was the exact amount he needed to get another snack. He looked at Ymir and could tell she was a little stressed and puzzled. Liam wanted to ask if something was wrong, but Ymir was so odd. Would she even have told him if something was wrong? It would have been kind of rude to accept the money and not have any further interaction with her, even if she was a little aggressive.
"Something wrong?"

Ymir shakes her head at Liam before pointing towards the shop she raised a eyebrow as if asking if she could go with him to get a new snack, she looked at the wall once again before shrugging, she stretched and waited for Liam to respond to her, She was a little mean but because she hadn't seen Christa in almost two months.

Ymir was a woman of few words. Just like she had been all day, she remained quiet and only communicated with a few words if any at all. Liam nodded his head as she pointed towards the bakery shop which also sold his favorite chips. It wouldn't be a problem if she came, maybe it would be fairly nice to have someone tag along with him today. It's not like the Survey Corps. had anything planned for today anyway. Once again, it was a pretty average day, it was boring.
"Yeah you can come, maybe you'll find something you like there too...even though all the chips are pretty much the same, they have different flavors."
Liam walked towards the shop, it wasn't that far from where they were now.

Ymir would silently chuckle before following the man, she thought for a second before yawning, she didn't really like sweets or chips but she might find a nice coffee cake for Christa, Ymir would smirk and nod her head. Yeah that would work just Swell, She saw the chef working away in the shop and sighed, She was glad she wasn't a titan right now, those sixty long years she was eighteen and never aged.

Liam gave the baker the 40 coins that Ymir had recently handed him in exchange for another bag of chips. The baker looked at Liam in an odd manner, it was a puzzled and tickled look. Liam could only let out a grin because he knew why the baker was looking at him funny.
"Yeah I've been here before, I only came back because....because I lost my last bag of chips. Some kid took them and I didn't feel like giving them a chase, so I decided to come back."
Liam didn't really tell the baker what happened, he didn't want to make Ymir angry again, but he also didn't want to lose this bag of chips to her temper either.

Ymir would point towards a coffee cake on the bottom shelf before looking towards the baker, She waited for the bakers response before her eyes diverted to Liam, perhaps she would get some chips as well, all she saw from where she stood was ketchup, salt and vinegar and pickle, she would slightly yawn before looking back to the Baker.

Liam stared at Ymir, she was awfully quiet and she hadn't muttered a single word. Except for when she was scaring everyone back in the crowd half to death. He noticed her point towards the coffee cake, yuck.
"Uhhh....excuse me? Do you ever speak? You've just been nodding and pointing all day..."
Liam thought he was anti-social but Ymir had him beat by a long shot. He opened his bag of chips and proceeded to stick a single chip in his mouth. It was almost as if the inside of his stomach had grown tentacles and snatched the chip right down his throat, he was that hungry.
